Tasmania trip 1/2

Hey guys! This is Emiko.Sorry for the late update. We finished the program for 10 months, but before writing my memories for 10 months, I’d like to write a trip in Tasmania from 17th to 23rd in December.
みなさん、お久しぶりです。愛美子です。私たちは10ヶ月の留学プログラムを終え、残すは日本への帰国だけとなりました。しかし、今回は私の10ヶ月の思い出ではなく、12月に行ったタスマニア１週間旅行について話したいと思います。
First 2days, we were in Hobart and we had no plan, so we could do anything! So we went to Salamanca market. Actually it was the best market I’ve seen before. Other things are shopping, visiting a church, going up a hill, and finally having a good meal! Hobart was so quiet even on the weekend. I loved the atmosphere.
最初の２日間はホバートに滞在。これといったプランもなかったので、とりあえず土曜日に催されるサラマンカマーケットに行ってきました。実際そのマーケットは今まで行った中で一番良かったマーケットでした。その２日間、他にしたことといえば、普通に買い物をしたり、教会を訪れてみたり、丘を登ってみたり。あとはなんといっても美味しいご飯を食べたことかな(笑)。ホバートはとっても静かな街で、たとえ週末でもにぎわっているとは言えなかったけれど、私はその雰囲気をとても気に入りました。
On Monday, We joined a tour to go around Tasmania taking 5days. First day, we went to 3 national parks and a hydroelectric power station. They were completely different from Melbourne. I mean there are no mountains or hills in Melbourne, so I was impressed very much! At night, we stayed a cabin and made pasta. The tour didn’t include meal so we had to make or buy something every time.
月曜日から５日間のタスマニア１周ツアーに参加しました。初日は自然公園を３つまわり、水力発電所を見に行きました。メルボルンは山や丘がなく平地ですが、タスマニアは自然に囲まれているため、すべてが大違い。感動です。ゴーストタウンとなってしまったクイーンズタウンを通って、その日の夜はツアーキャビンに泊まりました。夕飯は自分たちでパスタを作りました。このツアーには食事が含まれていないため、作るか買うかしなければなりません。その分ツアー費は安くなっていますが。
On the second day, we went to the highest water fall in Tasmania which is 104m. It is Water Forest and it took about 3hours for return so it was hard! On the way, there was a suspension bridge. It was so scary! One reason was that the bridge should be crossed by just 2 people! Can you imagine? But looking at the water fall from there was so nice and amazing.
２日目、タスマニアで１番高い滝、モンテズマフォールへ行きました。その滝は雨の森のなかにあり、往復で３時間かかるため、思ったよりしんどい。道の途中、吊り橋があったのですが、それが最高に怖い！高いのはもちろんのこと、他の理由はその橋を渡るとき、２人ずつでなければいけないということ！そこからの眺めは最高だったけどね。
In the afternoon, we went to “jump hill”. We did enjoy and it was so much fun!!! At night we stayed the cabin and made dinner, and then we played card games!
午後は、このツアーの目玉(？)でもあるジャンプの丘へ。なんとも言えないくらい楽しくてみんな自由でした(笑)。その日の夜もキャビンに泊まって、夜はみんなで流行り(ちなみに前日から)の”シットヘッド”というカードゲームをして盛り上がりました。
On the third day, we went to Cradle Mountain which is world heritage. It was NOT hiking. Actually it was climbing. It was soooooooo hard than I had expected but when I climbed to the top of the mountain; I forgot that I have a sore foot. It was spectacular! On the way back, we saw wombats!
３日目、世界遺産であるクレードルマウンテンへ。ちょっとキツイかもしれないけど山登りじゃないから。と言われていたけど、あれは山登りでした。予想していたよりもはるかにキツくて、私の足は限界でした(笑)。しかし！頂上に登るとそんなことも忘れるほどの眺め。最高でした！帰り道、天然のウォンバットを見つけました。
We were so exhausted but we were happy because in the afternoon, we did Honey tasting and Salmon tasting. It was fun and yummy!!! I bought lemon honey. This night we stayed at a backpacker in Launceston.
私たちは信じられないほど疲れてしまったけど、幸せでした！なぜかというと、そのあと私たちを待っていたのはハチミツの試食とサーモンの試食だったからです！楽しくオイシイ時間を過ごして、その日の夜はバックパッカーに泊まりました。

Tasmania trip 2/2”
Day 4, we went to East Coast. First, we visited the unique memorial carvings. It was interesting! Then, we did cheese tasting and had Milkshake. Before lunch time, Mari and our friends bought Oysters. They said Oysters were so fresh and tasty, but actually I don’t like Oysters, so I couldn’t understand them!
４日目、今日から私たちはタスマニアの東海岸沿いをまわることに。初めに訪れたのはとってもユニークな木で作られた彫刻たち。戦争で亡くなった方々を忘れないためにと作られたとても立派なものだとか。そのあとはチーズテイスティングをして、おいしいミルクシェークを飲みました。ランチの場所へと移動中、とっても新鮮な牡蠣が売っている養殖場へ。真理とツアーで仲良くなった友達は買って美味しそうに食べていたけど、私にはさっぱり気持ちが分からない。だって、私は牡蠣が嫌いなんだもん！
At the lunch time, we were at the Bay of Fires, which was chosen for the most beautiful beach in the world in 2009. It was the best beautiful beach I’ve ever seen before. I enjoyed myself with tour friends for long time!! And I took a lot of pictures as well.
お昼はベイオブファイヤーという海辺で食べました。そのビーチは2009年にもっとも美しいビーチとして選ばれた場所でした。だけどとても静かなところで、今まで見たビーチで一番綺麗だったと自信をもって言えます！ツアーの仲間と共に長い時間遊んでしまいました。
Next beach was beautiful too! The sand of the beach made a sound when I walked on it. At night, we stayed Bicheno and we made risotto! Then we went out to see penguins. We could see just few of them but they were sooooo cute!
そのあとに訪れたビーチも綺麗で、砂浜の上を歩くと砂が音を立てる“鳴き砂”でした。その日の夜はビシュノに泊まって、リゾットを作りました！夕食のあとはペンギンを見に夜の海辺へ。ほんの何匹かしか見られなかったけど、めちゃくちゃかわいかった！
Bicheno is Tassie’s “Great Ocean Road”. It was spectacular and dynamic!!! Then we went to Wildlife Park. There were many Australian animals and of course Tasmanian Devil! I expected they were ferocity, but they looked soooo cute! Then we went to Wineglass bay. Going there was my dream, so my dream came true~!! It was hard to get there because it took about 3 hours for return! OMG! but it was absolutely amazing. In the afternoon, we moved to Ross, home of Kiki the witch! It was nice and quiet. Unfortunately, the bakery of Kiki was closed.
ビシュノはタスマニアのグレートオーシャンロードと呼ばれる地。岩にぶつかる波はとっても迫力的でした！朝はワイルドライフパークへタスマニアンデビルに会いに行きました。もっと凶暴な動物かと思っていたら、そうでもなくてとっても可愛かったー！そして、メインであるワイングラス・ベイへと場所を移しました。そこにいくのが私の目的かつ夢だったため、本当に嬉しかった！だけど道のりはそんなに甘いもんじゃない。なんせ往復３時間もかかるのだからね。それだけ素晴らしい眺めだったことに間違いはないけど！午後は、魔女の宅急便の舞台になった土地でもあるロスへ。残念ながらパン屋さんはお休みだったけど、とても静かな場所でした。
We went back to Hobart and finished the tour. We went straight to the airport and back to Melbourne before Christmas. This trip, we were so luxury and very active but I did enjoy it and had great memories. Tasmania is the best place I’ve been in Australia. Thanks Mari!!!!!
そしてホバートに戻り、ツアーは無事終了。私たちはまっすぐ空港に向かい、メルボルンに帰りました。今回の旅行はとても贅沢な旅行ですごいアクティブだったけど、めちゃくちゃ楽しめたし最高の思い出ができました！いろんなところに旅行行ったけど、タスマニアすごく気に入った！一緒に行ってくれた真理、ありがとうね！

Christmas day

It was first summer Xmas for me. Actually, it thundered on the Eve and it was cloudy on Xmas day though. Many Australian people spend time with their family on Xmas day. Most of shopping centers and restaurants closed and atmosphere on the bus was still.
サマークリスマスは私にとって初めてでした！ イヴは雷、当日は曇りでしたが、、笑 オーストラリア人は多くの人がこの日を家族と過ごします。 なのでショッピングセンターレストランも閉まり、バスもシーーンとしてます。
In my case, about 40 people came to my house. My mother told me everyone is my family and my family is really big! My host prepared for this party since 2weeks ago. And there were many presents under the tree. Xmas day is very important for Australian people. My host gave me presents which were pierced earrings and bracelets. I felt amazed.
私はこの日はホストとホームパーティをして、約４０人の人が来ました。 ここに居る皆は全て家族で、大家族なのとホストが言っていました。 このパーティの準備を２週間前から始め、ツリーの下に着々とプレゼントが積み重ねられていっていました。 私がもらったプレゼントはピアスとブレスレット！！！ めちゃめちゃ嬉しかったです(^^)
There were plenty of food, drinks and sweets! My house was full of smile and laugh. I had a great great time and have one more good memory with my host! I will definitely miss my host family. 1 month to go back to Japan! Let’s enjoy and I will never regret everything!
凄い量の食べ物と飲み物そしてスウィーツ！ そこにいる皆、本当に楽しそうでした☆ またホストとの思い出が一つ増えて、ますますここを離れるのが寂しい。 皆、最後の日まで楽しも～～～(^^)
